August 26th, 2016 - Dustin Strand Continues on Red-Hot Streak in August
1 Competing in the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned program, Dustin Strand visited Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday night for the $1,100-to-win Can-Am Cup. Drawing 20 entries, Dustin started the night off with a heat race win putting him on the pole for the feature. 1Friday night brought 21 NLRA followers to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for another $1,100-to-win top prize. Storming to a heat race win early in the night, Dustin earned the 3rd-starting spot for the feature. Taking the lead on lap 7, Dustin Strand held off a hard-charging Donny Schatz to pick up this third straight victory and 17th overall on the season. August 20th, 2016 - Two-Win Weekend for Dustin Strand in Late Model Division
1 Behind the wheel of his Q&Z Plumbing and Heating #71 Super Late Model, Dustin Strand returned to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday for the regular night of racing. In a field of 15 cars, Strand stormed to heat race victory earning him the 7th-starting spot for the feature. 1On Friday night Dustin headed to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) to a field of 31 Super Late Models. Scoring another heat race win, Strand rolled off 6th for the feature event. Working his way into a podium spot, Dustin landed a runner-up finish behind Donny Schatz with Steffen Snare, Brad Seng, and Donald Show rounding out the Top 5.

1The following night Strand stopped at Devil Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota) for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned program. Storming to another heat race win from the 5th-starting position, Dustin earned the 3rd-starting spot for the A-Main. Charging to his second win of the weekend, Dustin Strand topped Bill Mooney, Mike Balcaen, Lance Matthees, and Brad Seng in the feature brining his overall win tally on the season to 15. Strand collected a $1,100 payday for his NLRA victory.

August 14th, 2016 - Strand Wins NLRA Show at BRRP on Sunday Night
1On Monday night Dustin Strand made the trip to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) competing in a field of 12 cars. Reeling in a 2nd place finish from the 4th-starting spot in his heat, Strand earned the 3rd-starting position for the feature. Bringing home his 12th victory of the season, Dustin outdueled Brad Seng, Mike Balcean, Shane Edginton, and Mike Martin in the main event. (Tim Johnson Photo)

1Kicking off the busy three-day weekend, Dustin invaded River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday night. Drawing 18 Super Late Models, Strand scored a heat race win giving him the 9th-starting position for the feature. Breaking into a podium spot, Dustin improved seven positions notching a runner-up finish behind Mike Balcaen with Joey Pederson, Ryan Corbett, and Steffen Snare rounding out the Top 5.

1The following night brought 17 cars to Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota) for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned event. Capturing another heat race win from the 5th-starting position, Strand earned the 3rd-starting spot for the feature. After getting caught in a tangle-up on the first lap, Dustin was sent to the tail of the field. Working his way up ten positions, Strand suffered a broken driveshaft forcing him to withdraw from the feature.

1Ending the three-day weekend with the NLRA series, Dustin was one of 24 cars signed in at Buffalo River Race Park (Glyndon, Minnesota) on Sunday night for the $1,100-to-win A-Main. Capturing another heat race win, Strand transferred into the main event with the pole-position. Holding off a charging Donny Schatz, Dustin Strand picked up his 13th win of the season and a $1,100 payday. On Saturday night Brian Strand found victory lane in the Open Wheel Modified division at Greenbush Race Park (Greenbush, Minnesota) for the $2,000-to-win Bakers Cup.

August 6th, 2016 - Strand Wins in Both His Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified
1After Mother Nature ruined his plans on Thursday, Dustin Strand traveled to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday night competing in the WISSOTA Super Late Model division. Starting on the pole of his heat, Dustin cruised to a heat race win giving him the 7th-starting spot for the feature. Wheeling his way through the lap-traffic near the end of the A-Main, Strand captured his second straight win and tenth overall on the season. 1On Saturday night Dustin hopped behind the wheel of his Open Wheel Modified to run at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota). With 19 cars signed in, Strand improved one position in his heat scoring a heat race win. Starting in 2nd for the A-Main, Dustin Strand stormed to his second win on the weekend and eleventh of the season with Mike Stearns, Travis Saurer, Ward Imrie, and Tyler Peterson rounding out the Top 5. Strand pocketed a $2,000 payday for his dominant performance in the feature event.
