October 15th, 2016 - Strand Bests Jamestown Stock Car Stampede; Wins WISSOTA National Championship
1Competing in both his Super Late Model and Midwest Modified, Dustin Strand visited Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota) on Friday for the 45th Annual Stock Car Stampede. In a field of 23 Super Late Models, Dustin scored a heat race win early in the night locking his spot into the main event on Saturday evening. Outdueling Curt Gelling at the finish line, Strand reeled in his 25th victory of the season over Gelling, Brad Seng, Cole Schill, and Mike Balcaen. 1In the Open Wheel Modified division, Strand started the night off again with a heat race win putting him 5th on the starting rundown for the feature. Holding his position, Dustin notched a 5th place finish behind Ryan Schroeder, Tyler Peterson, Zach Laqua, and Ryan Lehr.

October 1st, 2016 - Dustin Strand Wins Twice in New Midwest Modified and Once in Super Late Model
1Running in the two-day Prairie Classic, Dustin Strand headed to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Friday night competing in his brand new Midwest Modified and his Super Late Model. In a field of 17 Super Late Models, Dustin moved up six spots in his heat landing a runner-up finish behind Ricky Weiss. Starting in 8th for the main event, Strand charged to his 22nd victory of the season over Brad Seng, Bill Mooney, Shane Edginton, and Steffen Snare.

1During the same night in a field of 32 Midwest Modifieds, Strand stormed to heat race win from the 6th-starting position. Rolling off 2nd for the A-Main, Dustin reeled in his second victory of the night topping Jamie Davis, Grant Hall, Paul Veert, and Christopher Leek.  

Returning on Saturday, Strand started the night off with a heat race win in the Super Late Model division putting him on the pole for the feature. Losing one position, Dustin landed a runner-up finish behind Ricky Weiss with Brad Seng, Mike Balcaen, and Rick Fawcett completing the Top 5.
