August 25th, 2017 - Runner-up Finish in Local Show at River Cities
1Returning with the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA), Dustin Strand visited Red River Valley Speedway (West Fargo, North Dakota) on Wednesday for the Car Show Cruise Night. In a field of 23 cars, Strand recorded a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Adam Fischer earning him the 5th-starting spot for the $1,200-to-win A-Main. Holding his spot for all 25-laps, Dustin posted a 5th place finish behind Donny Schatz, Ricky Weiss, Mike Balcaen, and Brad Seng.

1On Friday night Strand returned to action at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) competing in a field of 18 WISSOTA Late Models. Notching a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Bill Mooney, Strand secured his spot into the A-Main. Bringing home a podium finish, Dustin notched a 2nd place outing behind Joey Pederson with Travis Robertson, Zach Naastad, and Shane Edginton completing the Top 5 finishers.

August 19th, 2017 - Top 5 Finish With NLRA Series at River Cities
1Dustin Strand made the short trip to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday night kicking off the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned weekend. With 24 cars on hand for the Can-Am Late Model Challenge, Strand passed four cars in his heat race to place 4th. Rolling off 10th for the opening night feature, Dustin improved four more positions registering a 6th place finish.

1The following night brought 26 NLRA entries to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for the $1,200 top prize. Gaining four spots in his heat, Dustin landed a 2nd place finish behind Zach Naastad positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the feature. On Saturday Dustin followed the NLRA Series to Devils Lake Speedway (Doyon, North Dakota) but mechanical issues prevented Strand from making it out for both his heat race and the feature.

August 11th, 2017 - Strand Captures Third Consecutive Victory at River Cities
1Friday found Dustin Strand return to action at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for the regular night of racing. Passing four cars in his heat race, Strand posted a 3rd place finish positioning him 9th on the starting grid for the feature. Moving up two positions in the 20-lap affair, Dustin Strand registered a 7th place outing.

August 6th, 2017 - Strand Captures Third Consecutive Victory at River Cities
1Dustin Strand was back with the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) on Thursday night at Norman County Raceway (Ada, Minnesota) for the Thursday Night Thunder. Coming in 2nd in his heat behind Ricky Weiss, Strand earned the 5th-starting position for the A-Main. With $1,100 on the line, Dustin was an early retiree from the feature after the back of his transmission came apart and destroyed the rear-end of his car.

1The following night brought Strand to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) competing in a field of 22 WISSOTA Late Models. Starting the night with a heat race win, Strand earned the 8th-starting position for the 20-lap feature.  Using lap-traffic to his advantage late in the race, Dustin overtook race-leader Zach Naastad on lap 19 and held him off on the final lap to pick up his 13th win of the season over Naastad, Bill Mooney, Mike Balcaen, and Joey Pederson. After the NLRA sanctioned event was rained out on Saturday night at Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota), Strand stopped at Sheyenne River Speedway (Lisbon, North Dakota) on Sunday competing in a field of 28 NLRA followers. Posting a heat race win to begin the night, Dustin earned the pole position for the $1,200-to-win A-Main. Hanging on to a podium spot, Dustin Strand slipped back to a 3rd place finish behind Don Shaw and Brad Seng with Ricky Weiss and Donny Schatz completing the Top 5 finishers.
