June 30, 2018 - Strand Tops NLRA Field at River Cities; Podium Finish With USMTS at Devil's Lake
1On Thursday night Dustin Strand was one of 15 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand at Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) for the regular night of racing. After failing to finish his heat race, Strand charged through the field 12 spots in the feature reeling in a 2nd place finish behind Ward Imrie with Scott Greer, Ryan Kereluk, and Tony Caissie completing the Top-5 finishers.

1The following night in the Super Late Model ranks for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned program at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Dustin locked his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Ryan Corbett. Earning the 5th-starting position, Strand outdueled 3rd-starting Shane Edginton to pick up his seventh win of the season and a $1,200 payday. Edginton, Ryan Corbett, Brad Seng, and Joey Pederson rounded out the Top-5 finishers in the 20-lap affair. (Mike Spieker photo)

1Saturday night found Strand in action at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota) competing with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). Rolling off on the pole of his heat, Dustin scored a 2nd place finish behind Jake O’Neil positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the feature. Jumping out to the lead on the drop of the green flag, Strand held the top spot for the first three laps until Johnny Scott took control for the remaining 37 circuits. Dustin held on to a 3rd place finish behind Scott and Stormy Scott with Ryan Gustin and Zack VanderBeek trailing them to the line.

June 23, 2018 - Dustin Strand Bags Three-Win Weekend
1 Behind the wheel of the Q&Z Plumbing & Heating #71 Open Wheel Modified, Dustin Strand invaded Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on Thursday night competing in a field of 16 cars. Gaining one spot in his 8-lap heat race, Strand landed a 2nd place finish behind Danny Staff positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the feature. Wheeling his way to the front, Dustin Strand topped Jerome Guyot, Danny Staff, Rick Delaine, and Ward Imrie at the line in the 20-lapper to capture his fourth win of the season. (VCatell photo)

1On Friday night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Strand passed one car in his heat to pick up the 8-lap victory. Rolling off 6th for the A-Main, Dustin worked his way into a podium spot by second lap and began tracking down-race leader Troy Schill. After swapping back and forth for the lead, Dustin Strand overtook Schill on lap-10 and held the top spot for the next ten circuits registering his fifth win of the season over Ricky Weiss, Troy Schill, Mike Balcaen, and Brody Trroftgruben.

1Saturday night found 16 Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) competitors signed in at Greenbush Raceway Park (Greenbush, Minnesota) for the Jack Grahn Memorial. After starting the night off with a heat race victory from the 6th-starting position, Strand topped the 16-car field in the feature reeling in a $1,500 payday and his sixth win of the season. Brad Seng, Joey Pederson, Ricky Weiss, and Bill Mooney completed the Top-5 finishers in the 25-lap affair.

June 15, 2018 - Runner-up Finish With NLRA at River Cities Speedway
1Dustin Strand was one of 22 Super Late Models on hand at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday evening for the Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned program. Passing five cars in his heat, Strand scored a runner-up finish behind Travis Robertson locking him into the 6th-starting position for the A-Main. With $1,200 on the line, Dustin made a late-race charge for the lead in the final laps but came up short to place 2nd behind Ricky Weiss with Mike Balcaen, Bill Mooney, Donny Schatz completing the Top-5 finishers.

Saturday night's NLRA sanctioned contest at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota) was washed away by Mother Nature.

June 9, 2018 - Dustin Strand Records a Pair of Podium Finishes in Late Model
1Thursday night brought Dustin Strand to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba) competing in a field of 12 Super Late Models. Jumping up one spot in his 8-lap heat, Strand recorded a 4th place finish positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the feature. Breaking into a podium spot, Dustin passed three cars in the 20-lapper reeling in a 3rd place finish behind Shane Edginton and Mike Martin with Shane Holden and Mike Balcaen completing the Top-5 finishers.

1After Friday’s program at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) rained out, Strand stopped at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Lakota, North Dakota) on Saturday. Passing two cars in his heat, Dustin landed a 2nd runner-up finish behind Bill Mooney. Earning the 4th-starting position for the feature, Dustin Strand gained one spot to place 3rd behind Shane Edginton and Brody Troftgruben with Bill Mooney and Troy Schill rounding out the Top-5.
