“We originally planned to enter three races over the weekend, but between the weather being iffy and me being under the weather, we only raced on Friday night at River Cities. Even though I didn’t feel my greatest, the car was perfect, and I was able to get the victory,” Strand commented. “We’ve put together a bit of a streak at River Cities, and we’ll look to keep that going this coming weekend.”

1Friday night found Dustin Strand in action at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), where he was competing in the Open Wheel Modified ranks. Improving two spots in his heat, Strand scored a heat race victory, which locked him into the second starting spot for the A-Main.

July 6, 2019 - Strands Sweeps Weekend in Late Model and Modified
1Dustin Strand showed both his diversity and his team’s strength over the weekend. He added two more wins to the 2019 tally with a victory in both his WISSOTA Late Model and his WISSOTA Modified.

“We’ve finally got to a point, where we are happy with the balance and performance of both our Late Model and our Modified,” Strand said. “These days its hard to win in any division, much less in two different ones. However, that’s exactly what we were able to accomplish this weekend. The upcoming weekend’s Modified races are going to be a good measuring stick of where we are with our program because there will be tough fields at these races.

“Last but not least, I can’t say enough about my team and everyone, who supports us. Thanks so much to all of these awesome people.”

Dustin kicked off his weekend in his RHRSwag.com No. 71 Keewatin Truck Service/ Double Deuce Bar & Grill/ Millenium Chassis/ Ben Adams Racing Engine Late Model on Friday night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota). The Mid-Season Championship drew a field of 20 Late Models to the ultra-racy bullring. With an 8-lap, heat race victory Dustin locked into the second-starting spot for the finale.

He grabbed the lead early in the main event on his way to the victory. Shane Edginton, Brody Troftgruben, Joey Pederson, and Brad Seng followed him across the finish line.

1On Saturday evening Dustin headed to Greenbush Race Park (Greenbush, Minnesota) piloting his Q&Z Plumbing & Heating No. 71 Millenium Chassis Modified. Advancing two spots in his heat race, Strand scored a win, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the feature. Streaking to his seventh win of the season in the 20-lap affair, Strand outran Rick Delaine, Justin Bronk, Shawn Teunis, and Dustin Wahl.
