June 29, 2019 - Dustin Strand Busts Out Broom at River Cities Again
1Dustin Strand visited River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Friday night behind the wheel of his Keewatin Truck Service No. 71 Super Late Model. Passing four cars in his heat, Strand captured a heat race win locking his spot into the show. 1The following night at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Crary, North Dakota), Dustin jumped up two spots in his heat to place 4th. Starting the feature in 3rd, Strand gained one spot in the 25-lapper notching a 2nd place spot behind Brad Seng with Brody Troftgruben, Cole Schill, and Jesse Teunis rounding out the Top-5.

With the win, he pushed his 2019-win tally to four.

“I knew I had some good cars behind me, so I didn’t want to see all of those yellows, but luckily everything worked out,” Strand noted after the caution-plagued feature. “The track was kind of tricky with different characteristics in different places, but the car was awesome. All-in-all it was a great night. Hopefully, we’ve got all of the gremlins off of our back from the beginning of the year and luck will stay on our side. ”

1With Mother Nature washing out Friday and Saturday’s scheduled events, Dustin Strand made the short trip to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) on Sunday evening. With 23 Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) competitors on hand, Strand cruised to a heat race win, which positioned him on the front row for the main event.

Leading flag-to-flag in the caution-plagued finale, Dustin rolled to his fourth win of the season. Shane Edginton, Brad Seng, Cole Schill, and Mike Balcaen. He claimed a $1,200 payday for his efforts.

June 14, 2019 - Dustin Strand Finds Victory Lane at River Cities Speedway
1Dustin Strand built on his recent momentum over the weekend. The driver of the Q&Z Plumbing & Heating No. 71 Keewatin Truck Service/ Walhalla Builders/ Millenium Chassis Late Model raced to the feature win on Friday night at River Cities Speedway.

The victory was his third of the year.

“We battled some issues on Thursday night at Red River, but on Friday night everything went perfectly,” Strand commented. “We had a great car from the drop of the green, and I was able to drive it to the lead. I have no doubt that we’ve got a really good piece this year, we just need a little more luck to fall our way.”

Thursday night found Dustin Strand in action at Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba), where he was competing in a Weekly Racing Series Event. After mechanical issues sidelined him in his 8-lap heat race, Strand passed five cars in the feature to register a sixth-place finish.

1The following night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Dustin secured his spot into the A-Main with a heat race victory. Saturday’s Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) sanctioned event at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Doyon, North Dakota) fell victim to Mother Nature.

June 8, 2019 - Strand Sweeps Late Model Action at Red River
1Dustin Strand made a clean sweep of the racing action on Thursday night at Red River Co-op Speedway in his Q&Z Plumbing & Heating #71 Keewatin Truck Service/ Walhalla Builders/ Millenium Chassis Late Model.

The victory was his first of the year in the Late Model and his second triumph overall on the season.

“Everything went flawlessly on Thursday night at Red River Co-op Speedway and we were able to get our first Late Model win of the season,” Strand noted. “On Friday night, I had a brain failure in the heat race and got into the wall. The team had to thrash to get the car repaired in time for us to start last in the feature. I was able to drive to a ninth-place finish, but all of the credit goes to my team for busting their tails to get the car back in one piece.”

On Thursday evening Dustin Strand traveled to Red River Co-op Speedway (Winnipeg, Manitoba), where he was piloting his Keewatin Truck Service No. 71 Late Model entry. Gaining one spot in his heat, Strand scored an 8-lap heat race victory, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the A-Main.

Soaring to his second win of the season, Dustin topped Shane Edginton, Mike Balcaen, Jesse Teunis, and Walt Morris at the line in the 20-lap affair.

1On Friday night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) in a field of 22 Northern Late Model Racing Association (NLRA) entries, Dustin sustained heavy damage in his heat race after making contact with the wall, but his crew was able to get the car ready for the $1,200-to-win A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Strand passed 13 cars in the 25-lapper to place ninth.

Saturday’s program at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Doyon, North Dakota) was rained out.

June 1, 2019 - Runner-up Finish in NLRA Opener at Devil's Lake
1Friday night found Dustin Strand in action at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) competing in the Super Late Model ranks for the regular night of racing. After retiring early from his heat race, Strand improved from the tail of the field 12 spots in the 20-lpa feature reeling in a 7th place finish.

1The following night at Devil’s Lake Speedway (Crary, North Dakota) for the Northern LateModel Racing Association (NLRA) season opener, Strand locked his spot into the $1,200-to-win A-Main with a 10-lap heat race victory. Rolling off 2nd, Dustin held his spot for all 30-laps to place 2nd behind Shane Edginton with Cole Schill, Brad Seng, and Aaron Turnbull rounding out the Top-5.
